BLOG – G&P TAKES FLIGHT AT FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW
Stephen Molloy, aerospace, defence & industries director, reflects on G&P’s recent presence at the Farnborough International Airshow.
Following a turbulent two years for the aerospace industry, it was great to be back at the Farnborough International Airshow showcasing to the sector the variety of services and workforce support G&P can provide their businesses.
Despite scorching hot weather throughout the week, the show was a huge success for the aerospace, aviation and defence industries with an energetic feel and buzzing with activity from the start.
This year, G&P joined 26 companies from across the Midlands all operating in the aerospace sector united through the Midlands Aerospace Alliance to bring the new technologies, products and capabilities delivered in the region. The stand was particularly eye catching and the footfall of heavy traffic of this well attended event sparked great conversations with potential customers all wanting to discover how G&P’s services could support their supply chain quality, technical and inspection requirements.
Alternating with the Paris Air Show every other year, Farnborough has always played a crucial role in business development, technological advances and the future of the industry. This year’s show was no different and was a great way for companies from around the world to come together for the first time since the pandemic to discuss the products and services they have to offer with optimism for the future.
Our presence at the show was extremely significant as it allowed G&P to be visible among some of the biggest manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers in the industry. It was also a great chance to catch up with many of our existing customers to discuss how G&P’s services have changed post-pandemic and our growing presence in the aerospace sector. Many were interested in hearing about some of the other projects we have been working on with a number of OEMs and Tier suppliers to help them achieve their highest quality standards.
The show was a resounding success for G&P, having generated quality leads, established great connections with leading manufacturers and suppliers, and further positioned G&P as a leading quality management provider in this growing sector. We’re now looking forward to seeing some of the outcomes and developments from the show come to fruition and I’m excited to see the advances that have been made by companies across the globe at next year’s Paris Air Show.
